Visiting Our Church
What to Expect When You Visit Our Church
Church of the Saviour is privileged to have many guests each Sunday. You will find that our dress includes everything from suits to business casual to jeans. We trust that you will find the people of our church to be friendly and genuinely glad that you're here. Please take an opportunity to let someone know you're visiting with us so that we can extend a personal welcome to you.
We come together to worship our Savior Jesus Christ as a community. We offer services and programs for adults and children of all ages--at different times and with differing formats--so that everyone can participate in an appropriate and meaningful time of worship.
The music is led by a dedicated group of musicians, singers and technicians who desire to lead God's people in worship in all three of our morning services. Our first two services (8:05 & 9:30 a.m.), under the direction of Ron Matthews, are led by our choir and orchestra, and rooted in the great hymns and traditions of the Christian church. The third service (11 a.m.) is led by a variety of gifted praise teams and includes many new songs of the Christian faith. We love the theologically rich songs of generations past as well as the newer hymns of more contemporary writers. Our 5 p.m. service, The Gathering, offers an eclectic mix and warm fellowship.
All of our services incorporate God-centered music, prayer, confession of sin, giving of tithes and offerings, Scripture reading and the exposition of God's word. Find out more about our Worship Arts Ministry here.
The preaching is driven by the conviction that the Bible is God's word: entirely truthful, authoritative and sufficient. We usually preach through books of the Bible; this is called expository preaching because it "exposes" the word of God to those who hear. You can listen to or download sermons online here.
Our church is also blessed with a dedicated and loving team of adults who provide child care for our youngest attendees. Our lobby information tables have information to help you choose the programs that best fit your family's needs.
