Meet our Staff: Drew Angus
Executive Pastor of Ministries
Drew is eager to serve Church of the Saviour by coming alongside new and existing ministry leaders and volunteers to support and develop their strengths. He has a Master of Arts degree in New Testament and a Doctor of Ministry degree in Missional Leadership from Biblical Theological Seminary. He also has a certificate in Organizational and Human Development from Temple University, a certificate in Spiritual Direction and is a certified Gallup StrengthsFinder individual and team coach. Drew was a church-planting missionary in Ireland with Serge mission from 1986–1990 and stayed with Serge for an additional 15 years to lead the discipleship renewal ministry called ‘Sonship.’ He served the Christian Reformed Church as their regional leader for the eastern USA from 2004–2014 and during those years was an elder with Spirit and Truth Fellowship, an urban church in North Philadelphia. He most recently served with Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Philadelphia to develop their spiritual outreach initiative that involved training churches to begin cancer-care ministries. Drew’s background prior to mission and church work was nursing. He has a BSN from LaSalle University and would say that nursing was the best education he received to prepare him for pastoral ministry by learning to care for people when most vulnerable. While serving in Ireland, Drew fell for Ann… a lovely Irish/Scottish woman with a big heart. They have been married for almost 30 years and have two wonderful sons that keep them smiling… Luke and Caleb. Drew and Ann love the natural world and their favorite dates are spent riding their bikes or hiking in nature. Drew also enjoys animal husbandry and breeds award-winning cairn terriers and American singer canaries.
