Our stories, in all their beauty and heartache, shape and influence every dimension of our daily life and relationships. Knowing the impact of our story and finding God’s redemptive work within it is vital for emotional, relational, and spiritual formation and health.
Giving ourselves permission to explore how the goodness and the pain in our life has shaped us opens the door to transformation and a deeper capacity for joy, intimacy, and fulfillment. To Be Told is far more than the popularized movement to “know your story.” It is an invitation to truth-telling, healing lament, deep soulfulness, and lasting change.
Dr. Dan Allender has been a story sojourner for more than 30 years. He brings his own vulnerability and kind spirit to his teaching as he challenges individuals, couples, and communities to do the important, holy work of entering their stories with grace, courage, and hope.
This live, simulcast event is a unique opportunity to bring Dr. Allender to Church of the Saviour so that we can experience alongside our friends and family how our stories shape our faith, understanding of self, relationships, and engagement in everyday life.

Purity for Him is a Christian support group for sexual addiction providing knowledge, encouragement, accountability, and tools to help free men from pornography, adultery, and lust.
Statistics indicate over 2/3 of men in the church suffer from sexual addiction. YOU ARE NOT ALONE. “If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up!” (Ecc. 4:10)
Experts believe that support groups are essential to obtaining and maintaining sobriety from sexual addiction. In conjunction with counseling, Purity for Him can serve as an important step toward recovery.
The group meets weekly. Contact Purity for Him at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information about meeting time and location. Only the volunteer leader of Purity for Him monitors this email address, and will maintain strict anonymity.
