Almost every married couple can tell you their if-only-I-had-known...stories. Throught class, discussion and counseling sessions, we will do everything possible to help you ask the questions you really need to ask of yourselves and each other.
The class will run for 9 sessions, meeting on Sunday mornings from 9:00-10:30 a.m. in the Care Center/Gate House. Beginning Sunday, February 26th to Sunday, April 30th and will be led by Pastor Tom Walsh and several other participants.
The topics that will be covered will be: The purpose of marriage (God’s design); The heart of marriage and the Gospel; love and respect; Communication and conflict resolution: sex, joy & intimacy; and finances. We will be using the book, “Preparing for Marriage,” by Dennis Rainey, supplemented by various handouts and articles. A key part of the class will be the opportunity to meet with a mentoring couple for personal interaction time over the topics covered in the class. The fee for the class is $50 and this will include, books for each person, supplemented articles and handouts and marriage mentors for each couple. The first Sunday will be orientation and organization.
