Church of the Saviour’s Online Privacy Policy

Church of the Saviour is committed to respecting your online privacy and security. We have developed this Online Privacy Policy to make you aware of our privacy policy and security practices, and to inform you of the way your information is collected and used. We also provide you with the opportunity to remove your name from our mailing list, if you desire to do so.

Information Collected. On some Church of the Saviour web pages, you can provide contact information for ministry-related purposes, register for events or make ministry contributions. Here are the types of personal information that we collect:

  • contact: name, organization/church, complete address, phone number, email address;
  • payment: credit/debit card number and expiration date, and billing information;
  • shipping: name, organization/church, complete address;
  • how you heard about Church of the Saviour;
  • questions, comments or suggestions that you wish to leave; and
  • your request to receive periodic updates: e.g., to individuals who request it, we will send periodic e-mails related to church or ministry-specific news, activities, events, prayer concerns, etc.

How Information Is Used. Church of the Saviour uses your information to understand your needs and provide you with better service. Specifically, we use it to help you complete a transaction, communicate back to you, update you on ministry happenings and personalize our website for you. Credit/debit card numbers are used only for donations or payment processing for the purpose you designate. We use Internet encryption software and Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol when collecting or transferring sensitive data such as credit/debit card information. Once we receive this, it is accessible only by our PCI-compliant merchant processor. Credit/debit card information is not accessible to Church of the Saviour staff.

No Sharing of Personal Information. Information you provide on Church of the Saviour web pages will not be shared with any third party without your consent. Church of the Saviour will not sell, rent or lease your personal information to other organizations. We assure you that the identity of all who contact us through our website will be kept confidential. Use of personal information is limited to Church of the Saviour's internal purposes and only to further its ministry activities.

Security. Church of the Saviour is committed to ensuring the security of your personal information. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy and ensure the proper use of information, we have established and implemented appropriate physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. To that end, Church of the Saviour utilizes Fellowship One to secure your information. Active Network owns and operates all of the servers and network components used to create the Fellowship One application environment. Details regarding the security of the Fellowship One application can be found on their website.

Cookies. From time to time, we may send a “cookie” to your computer, a small piece of data that is sent to your browser from a web server and stored on your computer’s hard drive. Once placed onto your machine, the cookie will allow the website to recognize you as a unique individual. A cookie cannot read data off your hard drive or read cookie files created by other sites. Cookies do not damage your system. We use cookies to recognize you when you return to our website or to identify which area that you have visited (i.e., event registration). We may use this information to better personalize the content you see on our web pages.
